DODGE CITY – Faye (Moody) Gebhart, 65, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born June 13, 1946 at Dodge City, the daughter of Omer and Ruth Marie Trafton Moody. A lifetime Dodge City resident, she was the office manager for the Department of Transportation in Dodge City, retiring 3 years ago.
She was a member of the Patriot Guard and enjoyed making jewelry.
On April 22, 1968, she married Rick Gebhart at Dodge City.
Survivors include: her husband, Dodge City; 2 sons, Gary, Dodge City and Dale and wife Onna, Dodge City; a brother, Dan Moody and wife Mary, Sierra Vista, Arizona; a sister, Anita Wilson and husband David, Florence, South Carolina; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clifford Moody and 3 sisters, Betty Boughner, Naomi Tucker and Norma Jean Fair.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 am Friday, March 9, 2012 at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Jeff Hiers officiating. There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursday at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
